Professor C N Purandare is a senior consultant obstetrician and gynecologist at three leading hospitals in Mumbai, honorary consultant for the Mumbai Police, Dean of The Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Emeritus Editor for the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of India and President of FIGO. He has a special interest in foetal medicine,high risk pregnancy, reduction in maternal mortality,family planning and prevention and early detection of cancer of the cervix.

Diogo Ayres-De-Campos is currently Associate Professor at the Medical School - University of Lisbon, Portugal, Senior Consultant and Labour Ward lead at the Santa Maria University Hospital, Lisbon. His main scientific areas of interest are intrapartum fetal monitoring and obstetric simulation. He is Secretary-General of the “Federation of Portuguese Societies of Obstetrics and Gynecology - FSPOG”, Secretary-General of the “European Association of Perinatal Medicine - EAPM”, Council Member of the “European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynecology - EBCOG”, and member of the “Safe Motherhood and Newborn Health committee” at FIGO.

Seija Grénman is an effective and flexible team member in the national and international societies. She has acted in different positions in the Finnish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is currently President Elect of the society. In NFOG she first was the chairman of the Scientific Committee for six years, and continued as the chairman of the Society from 2006 to 2010. As a FIGO Executive Board member she has actively participated in the Task Force on Membership Fees and Voting issues.

Margaret Natalie Mensah-Williams is a member of the ruling SWAPO party in Namibia, a SWAPO Regional Councilor and a member of the Central Committee of the SWAPO party. She was the first woman to be elected in a decision-making position in the legislature as the Vice-Chairperson of the National Council. She also serves on various boards of women’s organizations and as patron of various women’s and educational institutions, focusing on promoting gender equality and women in politics and the elimination of discrimination against and violence against women.

Professor Oladapo Ashiru is the President of the Africa Fertility Society, Nigeria.He pioneered the IVF program in Nigeria and has over twenty five years in the managementof difficult cases of infertility, twenty eight years’ experience in IVF and fifteen years’ experiencewith ICSI and new assisted reproduction technologies. He has established collaborations with several infertility centresinternationally. Currently his area of research is in embryo culture techniques and implantation failure.

Zuliatu Cooper is the Deputy Minister of Health and Sanitation of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation in Sierra Leone. She worked for over 30 years as a nurse in the United State of America and Sierra Leone. She set up the first district Ebola response centers in Sierra Leone and was awarded a silver medal from the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and recognized by the World Health Origination (WHO) for her work in the fight against Ebola.
